Volition Coaching Services is a Gippsland based coaching business - founded, owned, and operated by Rod Lawn.
Rod is committed to his own ongoing personal and professional development. He believes in investing in his own growth so that as a coach he can continue to provide you with the level of service that you deserve in your own quest for growth and change.
Rod has achieved certification in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Executive Coaching, a leading coach training and leadership development organisation in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Their coach training program is accredited by the I.C.F.
Rod also has a qualification in Life Coaching from The Coaching Institute, an award-winning Australian R.T.O. in coach training.
Rod also holds the following qualifications, which are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework:
- Bachelor of Business degree (majors in Accounting & Strategic Management)
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training
Rod is accredited in the Extended DISC® behavioural analysis tools. These tools can be used to help raise behavioural awareness & flexibility. (Extended DISC® is a registered trademark of Extended DISC International.)
Rod is a coach member of the International Coach Federation, a global organisation which advances the coaching profession internationally. As an I.C.F. coach member, he has pledged to honour the I.C.F. Code of Ethics.
Prior to becoming involved in coaching Rod gained many years of corporate experience as a professionally qualified accountant and analyst.
Rod really values and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid reader, and a passionate competitive golfer. He also enjoys keeping fit, and listening to music.
No matter what he does in life, Rod believes in staying curious and committed, so that he can continue to learn and develop. Rod brings this same curiosity and commitment to his coaching.
Rod is inspired by human potential and performance. He is fascinated by the way in which our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors can either act as a barrier or a springboard to success.
Rod believes that there is great potential residing inside every one of us…potential that is just waiting to be converted into peak performance by those who have the curiosity, courage, and commitment to go beyond their comfort zone and pursue their purpose.
